I remember being medevac'ed to a nearby DEPMEDS. I asked about the sniper. They said she was in serious condition, being taken to Kabul.

The medics wanted to airlift me out too, but I refused. There was still mopping up to do here. I wasn't hurt, just temporarily out of it. I told them I'd be fine, once I got some sleep....

Problem was, I couldn't fall asleep. Every time I lay down and shut my eyes... just as I was about to drift off into merciful slumber...

I'd be startled awake by a nightmare....
By the vision... of a terrifying face...
